Newcastle Leagues Club farewells Ruffneck Promotions and The Bandroom

Newcastle Leagues says goodbyew to Ruffneck Promotions and the Bandroom name.

This are changing in Newcastle's hip hop scene and one of the changes will be the departure form the Newcastle Leagues Club. Smaller shows will now be held at the popular Cambridge and larger shows will now be held at Panthers Newcastle.

We would like to farewell the Bandroom and the memories that it holds. The walls tell many a storey, with tags dating back years from some of Oz's biggest acts, right beside the markings of Newcastle's own.

The last show at Newcastle Leagues...ever! Is on tonight, Sat 1st April (no not an April fools joke). The venue will go out with style by playing host to the Resin Dogs and Def Wish Cast. Be there from 9pm.

A big shout out also to Nath and the Ruffneck crew for helping to grow Newcastle's hip hop scene and presence into what it is today. We are now officially on the map as far as big Ozi acts goes, even though we may have been seeing a few big names before, we are now starting to see them a lot more frequently in our town.
