Lefta Centa win heat in Groovin the Moo comp

21/04/2006

Lefta are one step closer to playin in the Hunter Valley's biggest festival yet...Groovin' the Moo.

After agreat night of heats, Lefta emerged victors and are on to the finals.

It was a tough tussle at The Cambo on Thurs 6th April. The four bands were a real mix of genres and included quality female heavy act Amethist, local rockers The Karl Kennedy Affair and another central coast band that were kinda smooth too.

Lefta went second, a big test as on a thurs night, not everyone is up and rowdy, but it was Lefta's job to get em that way. (what do you think the winners are going to have to do in the middle of the day at Groovin Tha Moo?)

Within 30 seconds half the place was moovin and the majority of the rest were by the end of "The Game". Lefta followed up with the new "Trak 9" and "State of Affairs", then finished with a classical bang on "Tighter Than Most".

it was agreed by all present that Lefta had pulled the most to the floor on the night but there were still some quality performances to follow. Amethist put out a real tight set and Karl Kennedy followed up with what seemed a well rehearsed performance.

In the end lefta were declared the first hip hoppers through to the final and now with one round of heats to go the tension is building. Lefta have a fat set lined up for thurs 27th April and are poised to strike. Come along and watch em and blow away the crowd, the judges and the competition!!!
